Overview

You can make your own party on the Web portal, that will have its own chat channel that works on the Web and in-experience.

You can see and interact with people in your party in the experience.

If party voice chat is enabled, when you are in a party, you will also have the ability to talk privately to them in-game. For details on this, see Party Chat.
